October Is Fire Prevention Month

October is fire prevention month. It is important to make sure you have working smoke detectors in all sleeping rooms, hallways and on each floor of your home. Batteries should be replaced either when the time changes (Spring or Fall) or at six month intervals.

As the temperatures in our area start to cool down, it’s a good time to have a licensed HVAC professional check out your heating system to ensure it’s in proper operating condition. The HVAC professional can also light your pilot for you (if applicable).

In order to make sure your heating and cooling system operates as efficiently as possible, make sure your filter is changed monthly (or as often as recommended by your licensed HVAC professional).
