Hazard: The mounting loop that holds the chandeliers to the ceiling can break, causing the chandelier to fall, posing an impact injury hazard to consumers.

Remedy: Consumers should prevent people from going into the immediate area under the chandeliers. Contact Bel Air immediately to receive a free replacement mounting ring to repair the chandelier and instructions on being reimbursed for the cost of the installation.

Description: The recalled nine-light chandeliers have a two-tone antique bronze-colored metal frame with antique gold-accents and champagne frosted color glass shades. The six antique gold colored lamp holders at the bottom and three at top have a floral pattern that is repeated on components at the top and bottom of the center lamp stem. Antique bronze-colored ornamental scrolling connects all the elements. The chandeliers were sold at Lowe’s as Portfolio brand with item number 256047 and at other stores as Transglobe item number 2579 EBG. The item numbers are located inside the ceiling canopy of the chandelier.

Incidents/Injuries: Bel Air has received 18 reports of the chandeliers falling from ceilings with some incidents resulting in property damage.

Sold at: The Portfolio brand sold exclusively at Lowe’s stores and the Transglobe brand sold at lighting stores nationwide, both from February 2007 to June 2010 for about $250.
